I'm Lost Without You

I had driving Marge and the children to Eureka last Friday, and was making my way home alone so that I could go to work this week. I noticed that Chicago was not where I expected it to be. It should be far off to my left. Instead it was veering up right in front of me.

Instead of getting off of I-55 onto I-80/I-94, I had accidental stayed on 55 which dead ends at the lake and Lake Shore drive. So I worked my way down lake shore drive looking for the Stoney Island Exit (which I couldn't find), and eventually found myself at the gates of Chicago Vocational Career Academy. I'm still too much of a small town boy, because the 18 foot tall chain link fence with razor wire on top always sort of made me uncomfortable. I'm sure it's a fine school, but I've always noticed it from the skyway and thought it looked about as inviting as a jail.

Why not take the skyway? No cash. I know that I should always carry cash for tolls.

Like I said, with out my wife, I'm a little lost. I eventually found the exit to I-94 and took off. From there it was fine.

Maybe I should get myself one of those GPS things.
